Just a heads up, when you make that adjustment, you’re going to have an extra guy blitzing and you might have to drop someone else into coverage. You’ll notice the opponent’s left side might be wide open for a quick pass, so you have to be ready to take over a defender and get back into a zone or man coverage. Don’t be afraid to make a quick adjustment to your defensive coverage. Just be prepared to manage that middle part of the field. This is the simplest way to get pressure, with just one small hot route. You’re just hoping to get in there and make the QB nervous.

This one, DT Mike Luke Zero, is a great option in your Dollar 3-2 Mug playbook, especially against an opponent with a five-man pass protection scheme. It’s all about overwhelming the offensive line with too many rushers. The pressure is primarily designed to come from the defensive back on the outside. Now, every once in a while he might get blocked by a tackle, but generally speaking, he’s going to get in there. It’s just a consistent, easy way to get pressure without having to do much. It’s all about keeping your opponent honest.

For a little extra juice, you can call QB contain. This simple adjustment is going to create a wider B gap, giving your defensive back a clear lane to the QB. I mean, it’s just a little thing that makes a huge difference. You’ll see that B gap just open up and he’ll shoot right through. It’s an easy and effective tactic for this blitz from the Dollar 3-2 Mug.

Now, if you want to take it to the next level, you can add another small adjustment. Call show blitz and then QB contain. This will back your linebackers off just a bit, which can confuse the offensive line’s blocking assignments. Now you’ll see one of those inside linebackers, specifically the WILL, shooting right through the A gap. The show blitz adjustment really helps create some great angles for your rushers. So you can run this blitz a few different ways: with no adjustments, with a QB contain, or with show blitz and QB contain. Every version is effective, depending on what your opponent is doing.

This particular defensive back is going to shoot right through that gap, and you really don’t have to do a thing if you don’t want to. It just works. He’s going to get in there and make the QB throw off-balance. That’s the beauty of this blitz, you can get in with no adjustments.

But you know me, I’m always looking for ways to make things a little bit better. Just like with the last play, you can call QB contain to enhance this blitz. This simple call widens that B gap even more, creating a much bigger lane for your defensive back to shoot through. It’s one of those classic Madden 26 blitz tips that works on so many different blitzes. When you need that extra bit of pressure, QB contain is a great way to get it done.

You can also put one of your defensive ends into coverage. Say you’re up against a bunch formation on the left side, and you need another defender over there. You can hot route your end into a flat route, and it’s not going to affect the pressure at all. This allows you to get that extra defender out there without sacrificing your blitz. You still get that same B gap pressure, and you have better coverage on the outside. It’s a nice little extra step if you have the time to get it done, and it adds another layer to your Dollar 3-2 Mug strategy.

Alright, let’s talk about the Overload Blitz, because this one is a lot of fun. Just like the others, the main theme is simple setups with powerful results. This is one of my favorite Madden 26 blitz tips because of all the different things you can do with it. Initially, this play sends a defensive back and a safety on the blitz. The defensive back is going to shoot through that B gap, while the safety either loops around the outside or comes through the inside. You know, sometimes they get blocked, but a lot of the time they get in there clean.

If you want to make sure you get pressure consistently, you already know the trick: call QB contain. Just that one simple adjustment is going to widen that gap and give your defensive back a clean shot at the QB. It’s really just that easy. It’s one of those little nuggets you pick up after playing the game for a while, and it makes all the difference. When you see it work, you just know you’ve found a good play. It’s a perfect example of how the Dollar 3-2 Mug can be so effective.

You can also get a lot more detailed with this one. The safety that’s coming on the blitz can often be useless because he’s coming from so far away. The offense will probably get the ball out before he gets there. So, you can take control of him and put him into a deep third. Now you’ve got a cover one defense with a five-man rush, which is an amazing mix of pressure and coverage. You can even hot route one of your blitzing linebackers to a curl flat and get an even better zone. You can turn this into a four-man rush with great coverage. It’s an adaptable play, and that’s why this is one of the most flexible blitzes from the Dollar 3-2 Mug.

Finally, we have the Zero Blitz. This one is very similar to the Overload Blitz, but with a key difference: you’re sending a SAM LB instead of a safety. The beauty of this blitz, and many of the plays we’ve discussed from the Dollar 3-2 Mug, is that they just work without a ton of hassle.

Just like with the other blitzes, you can enhance it by calling QB contain. This is just a simple way to give your defensive back a cleaner shot at that B gap. It’s a fundamental adjustment that makes a huge difference in Madden 26. And if you want even more of a sure thing, go ahead and call show blitz before you call QB contain. This will have that WILL LB shooting right through the A gap, which is just a nightmare for any offensive lineman. These two plays, the Overload Blitz and the Zero Blitz, are practically identical in how you can use them, but with a small change in personnel. They both add a lot of firepower to your Dollar 3-2 Mug defense.

• CBs and Safeties: Look for players with high Man Coverage and Play Recognition. Since you’ll often be in man coverage, you need players who can stick to their receivers.
• Defensive Tackles (DT): The Dollar 3-2 Mug is a good defense for your DT. Look for a guy with high Block Shedding and Strength. They’re going to have to eat up blockers to free up those blitzing linebackers and defensive backs.
