For all of you hardcore Madden online franchise players who like to record their games and then look over it afterward, we have created an offensive scout sheet that can be used to scout your opponents offense. For example, say you play a Madden online franchise game. After the game is over, you start watching the game film. Each offensive play he runs, you write out the formation, the play, ect…. that he called. After going through the offensive scout sheet, you start to get a pretty good idea of of his tendencies and the type of offense he likes to run. Next time you play him, you pullout your offensive scout sheet and now have a pretty good idea of what to expect from him and how to game plan against him. The offensive scout sheet below is very similar to what a real football scouts might use to scout an opposing opponent.

What the Table Headers Mean:
Most of the table headers are self explanatory, but there are few that you may have questions about. Below, is a brief breakdown of each one of them.
Play# – number of play.
Formation – formation used.
Play Called – play that was called.
Personnel – player personnel called on the field. The first number his how many running backs are on the field, the second number is how many tight ends are on the field. The remaining players would be receivers. For example 22 personnel called. This means two running backs, two tight ends, and 1 receiver. Another example would be something like this 10 personnel. This means one running back, no tight end, and 4 four receivers. Some of you may want to make it more simplified such as 1RB, 2TE,2WR, which is fine.
Down/Distance – what the down and distance is to the first down marker or goal line.
Field Position +/- – this means what side of the ball is on. If the ball is the + side, its on your side of the field, if its -, then the ball is on your opponents side of the field.
Hash L/M/R – where the ball is line up at on the field. Left hash, middle, or right hash.
Ball Carrier – the skilled player who has the ball last before the whistle. This could be a running back running the ball or a receiver catching the ball.
Play Result – how many yards were gained or lost. Pass completed, incomplete pass, interception, ect….
Front -what defensive front was used, 4-3, 3-4, 5-2, ect…..
Coverage -coverage type called. Cover 0, Cover 1, Cover 2 zone, Cover 2 man, Cover 3, Cover 4, Cover 6.
Dog/Blitz – was a blitz called, how many dogs/pass rushers were sent after the quarterback.
