Quick Set-Up:

Nickel Double A Gap - Rush 3 Buzz 3

  1. Take control of the SS and bring him up near the line of scrimmage in the B Gap between the right guard and right tackle.
  2. Once the ball is snapped, move him towards the right tackle and at the 3 or 4 o’clock position on the controller.

Coaching Points:

Nickel Double A Gap - Rush 3 Buzz 4

  1. The pressure is designed to come from the right end and possibly from the middle linebacker.
  2. Consider bringing the free safety down closer to the line of scrimmage. We prefer between 5 to 7 yards off the line of scrimmage. That he will be in position to help defend a quick pass over the middle.
  3. If your opponent is inside your 10-yard line, consider putting him in a hook Zone. That way he can take away the quick pass over the middle. Another option to consider is the put him in QB spy. This also will help him take away the quick pass over the short middle of the field.
  4. The Nickel Double A Gap – Rush 3 Buzz can be ran anywhere on the field with success.
