Quick Set-Up:

Nickel Trap 2

  1. Base Align (optional)
  2. Pinch .
  3. Hot route the NT into a bluff blitz.
  4. Hot route the LE into a hard flat.
  5. Slide the LE over one notch to the left.

Coaching Points:

  1. The pressure comes from the Nickelback and the left end.
  2. Another hot route adjustment that is optional is to hot route the nose tackle in QB Spy. This will help prevent the quarterback from taking off up the middle.
  3. Have an or a superstar with an attribute lined up at the left-end position if you plan on manually pass-rushing him.
  4. The past coverage is pretty solid, however, the right flat is wide open to the right side of the field.
