- You could also hot route the running back on any route of your choice, such as a flat route.
Coaching Points:
- Watch for the slot receiver as he breaks up the field on his wheel route. Often he will get separation from the defender covering him.
- If the slot receiver is not open, look for the split in running the Deep post route if the past coverage is Cover 2
- If the two tight ends are both run crossing routes, they are both options as well.
