Coaching Points:

  1. The design pressure comes from the Nickelback, weak-side defensive tackle, and the left outside linebacker.
  2. Having a fast defensive tackle makes this defensive setup that much better because the defender will get quicker to the quarterback when manually pass rush.
  3. This blitz setup works even if the runningback stays in the past block.
  4. If you have an with the Edge Pass Rush ability, consider moving him to the left end right spots. This will only enhance the chances of getting pressure on the quarterback.
  5. As with any Cover 0 , you must mix it in with other defenses that use the same setup, but with different passing coverages.
