In this Madden Plays breakdown, we look at the 46 Bear Under – LB Dogs 3. We show how to create pressure by bringing the free safety down in the box. This allows one of outside pass rushers to apply pressure on the quarterback when calling the 46 Bear Under – LB Dogs 3.

Quick Set-Up:
- Base Align.
- Hot Route FS into QB Spy.
- Move the FS into A Gap between the LG and C.
Coaching Points:
- Pressure comes off the edge from the right outside linebacker in most cases.
- Best to run down near the end.
- If the 46 Bear Under – LB Blitz 3 is ran outside of the red zone, watch the deep middle. Consider setting the hook zone drops to 20-25 yards. That way the middle linebacker drops deep over the middle.
- Patrol the short middle of the field with the free safety.
- If the quarterback is fast, consider using QB Contain.
- In most cases the free safety should quick enough to tackle the quarterback if he takes off and runs.

The 46 Bear Under – LB Dogs 3 is a simple zone blitz to set up. It is league friendly as you are only moving one defender.
