For this Madden Play breakdown, we want to show you a blitz out of the 4-3 Over. The name of the defense is the Will Blitz 3 Press. The 4-3 Over – Will Blitz 3 Press pressure comes the right outside linebacker. The cool things about this blitz setup is it does not give up any of the default pass coverage.

Quick Set-Up:
- Hot route the LOLB to bluff blitz.
- Move the LOLB between the WDT and LE, while near the line of scrimmage.
- Release the LOLB.
- Switch to any defender of your choice.
Coaching Points:
- The pressure comes from the right outside linebacker off the edge.
- If you rather control the left outside, switch off him, then switch back to him.
- If there is a six man pass protection scheme, the right outside linebacker will be blocked.
- The pressure from right outside linebacker works against Gun formations.

The 4-3 Over – Will Blitz 3 Press is an easy defense to set up because it requires just a few pre-snap adjustments. One thing to keep in mind is if you release the left outside linebacker, he will then turn and face a different direction If your opponent catches on to this, he will know there is a blitz coming. However, say you call the 4-3 Over – Cover 3 Sky Press and move the left outside linebacker and release him. He will setup the same way as he would of if you were running the 4-3 Over – Will Blitz 3 Press. Which is nice because it will keep him from knowing what defense you have called.
